Fa-la-la-la-la-la it’s the holiday season!
Last week a few of my blogging girlfriends and myself had a Holiday Cookie Exchange. I’m still drooling over everyone’s recipes and have already made my Gluten Free Peanut Butter Cup Blossoms twice (no judgement).
Now, most people only associate holiday themed food during for dessert or special dinners but today I’m sharing some of my 3 Favorite Healthy Holiday Breakfast Recipes along with a couple of my BGB Gals (bloggers gonna blog = BGB). BGB Community is a huge part of what keeps me motivated, sane and reminds me that I’m not alone in this blogging world. If you are a food blogger and want to join us, feel free to reach out. It was started by Georgie & Christina who’s recipes you will see below!
Now back to my 3 Favorite Healthy Holiday Breakfast Recipes..
We all know breakfast is my favorite meal of the day (and that may be because I eat it for lunch and maybe dinner sometimes too), so why not highlight a few delicious holiday-festive winter breakfasts? You may recognize my Hot Chocolate Overnight Oats recipe from a couple weeks ago but that’s because it is seriously the quintessential holiday breakfast for me (chocolate + oatmeal + more chocolate). These breakfasts are perfect for family that may be staying over during the holidays or just for you to enjoy! Who can resist waffles, muffins and oatmeal anyways?
Cranberry Orange Waffles by The Blissful Balance Tart cranberries combined with sweet citrus create a flavor profile perfect for a holiday breakfast. Lather in syrup or honey and never go back to plain waffles again.
Gingerbread Muffins by In It 4 the Long Run These gingerbread muffins, are moist, tender and filled with chunks of crystallized ginger. They make the perfect holiday breakfast or snack.
Hot Chocolate Overnight Oats from rachLmansfield. Your favorite warm winter drink is now a healthy breakfast treat, plus it is gluten free, vegan-friendly and filled with chocolate granola chunks.
Enjoy & Happy Holidays!
