After getting married last week (yup still digesting that it happened), and traveling to Napa for our “mini moon”, I was in need of a night filled with nothing besides relaxation and of course some pampering. For those who know me (or see me often) know that I really don’t wear any make up. Besides concealer to hide the bags under my eyes and a little mascara, that’s all I own. On the day of my wedding it took over 1 hour to do my make up. It was like painting a palette, I even did air brush application! I absolutely loved the way to turned out but needless to say having so much make up on my face felt so foreign to me. I wanted to clean my skin and refresh and loved what the idea of a Detoxifying Mask that TruSelf Organics offered to send me.
Now I have never done a face mask before besides some hydrating ones so the idea was new and a little scary. TruSelf Organic’s Detoxifying Mask is made to clear, tone and detox your skin with all natural ingredients. They even say the toning action of their masks help to reduce any belmishes, wrinkles, lines and leave you with that extra glow. I know what you’re thinking, so this is a miracle mask? No way! BUT it seriously is amazing. All you have to do is mix their powder that comes in this cute container with some water and smear it on your face. You leave it on for 10-30 minutes and it hardens from clay form to more of a shell. The mask is made from a clay blend so it’s very easy to apply to your skin. There is no icky stuff in it either, no parabens, petroleum, sodium lauryl sulfate, phthaltes or artificial anything!
I even took the most awkward selfie to show you how much I am loving this mask (my first selfie and first face mask, like WHAT?).
I sound like an advertisement for TruSelf Organics but I am genuinely excited about this new amazing product in my beauty routine. Especially now that the cold weather is around the corner. If you ever need me this winter, I will most likely be in my bed with this mask and some Justin’s dark chocolate peanut butter cups.
Do you use face masks? What are some of your favorites?
