I wish I could say my food everyday looked as beautiful as it does on my blog and Instagram. I am typically rushing and eating whatever was made for the blog the day before. Weekends are my favorite because I can wake up, not rush to start working and spend quality time in my kitchen experimenting. My kitchen looks like a hurricane went through it at times when I am experimenting but my anal-OCD-self doesn’t seem to mind the mess. I know it means I am accomplishing something delicious that Jordan and I get to enjoy later.
This Pink Goddess Smoothie Bowl is gorgeous without even trying thanks to Pitaya Plus. In case you aren’t familiar with Pitaya Plus, it’s frozen dragonfruit packets you can add to your smoothies for an extra punch of antioxidants (and a fun color boost).
Smoothie bowls can be intimidating since everyone thinks you need to decorate them to look like they do on Instagram. While they do look nice, it’s just not realistic for the average person. You can spend more time decorating than eating the bowl (which I am 100% guilty of). So basically, the point of my rant is to tell you, don’t ever feel the pressure to make your food look perfect. Make your food so that you enjoy it the most.
Here’s what you need to make a Pink Goddess Smoothie Bowl:
1 packet of Pitaya Plus
and of course your Nutribullet! (seriously get one if these already if you don’t have).
- 2 frozen bananas
- 1 packet of pitaya plus
- 1/2 cup of almond milk
- Brazilian nuts
- coconut flakes
- hemp seeds
- Blend smoothie bowl ingredients in your Nutribullet until smooth
- Pour contents into a bowl and place toppings on top
