Delicious Yogurt Marinated Moroccan Chicken

5 from 1 review

Yogurt Marinated Moroccan Chicken made with just a few ingredients for a healthy and delicious chicken recipe!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 3/4 cup full-fat plain yogurt
  • 1/3 cup Moroccan tomato sauce (I used this one)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic
  • Sea salt and black pepper to taste
  • Olive oil or avocado oil for greasing the skillet

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the yogurt, Moroccan tomato sauce and spices together
  2. Add the chicken to a baking dish or a large ziplock bag and add in the yogurt mixture and evenly coat the chicken
  3. Let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight if you can
  4. When ready to cook, warm a large skillet or grill pan with a little oil over high heat
  5. Turn heat down to medium and add chicken to skillet
  6. Cook for about 5 minutes then flip and cook on the other side (cook times will vary based off the thickness of the chicken!)
  7. Remove from heat and serve with desired sides

Notes

*Store leftovers in fridge for 5 days. I reheat in microwave or a skillet

**You can 100% grill this chicken recipe too. We don’t yet have a grill (apartment problems..) but hopefully one day soon!!
