I love Greek food because it is light, refreshing, and packed with bold flavors. This Greek 7 layer dip with za’atar is a perfect dish for those days when you crave something flavorful, satisfying, and packed with fresh wholesome ingredients.

Yield: serves 6

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces hummus, store bought or homemade
  • 1 cup 0% fat Greek yogurt
  • 1 clove garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tsp za’atar seasoning
  • Juice of 1/2 small lemon
  • 1 cup seedless cucumber, diced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, sliced
  • 1/3 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/3 cup Kalamata olives, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine yogurt, garlic, za’atar seasoning, lemon juice, salt and freshly ground pepper. Set aside
  2. In an oval shallow platter, 8”x8” or 7″ x 11″glass dish, layer the hummus, yogurt mixture, cucumber, tomatoes, feta and olives
  3. Serve with chips or pita bread of choice (I used gluten-free crackers and veggies!)

Notes

*Store leftovers in fridge for 3 days
