These Green Goddess Chicken Wraps are a staple here for lunch. High protein, healthy ingredients and they are meal prep-friendly too!

If you’re looking for a lunch that feels fresh, filling, and actually exciting to eat on a random Tuesday, these green goddess chicken wraps are it. They’re packed with juicy rotisserie chicken tossed in the creamiest herby green goddess sauce, crunchy romaine, crisp cucumber, juicy tomatoes, creamy avocado, and a little feta all wrapped up in a soft tortilla.

Basically, it’s everything I want in a lunch: lots of flavor, plenty of protein, something crunchy, something creamy, and absolutely zero sad desk-lunch energy.

And the best part? These green goddess chicken wraps are incredibly easy to make. The green goddess chicken comes together in minutes, especially when you use store-bought rotisserie chicken. The sauce is made with Greek yogurt, fresh herbs, lemon, garlic, and Dijon mustard, so it’s creamy without needing mayo or a million ingredients.

I love making these for lunch during the week because the chicken can be prepped ahead of time and stored in the fridge. Then all you have to do is assemble a wrap when hunger strikes.

Why you’ll love these green goddess chicken wraps

There are plenty of chicken wraps out there, but these are the kind I keep coming back to because they hit all the right notes.

They’re super easy. Rotisserie chicken does most of the heavy lifting here. No cooking chicken breasts, no waiting for them to cool, and no complicated prep.

The green goddess sauce is EVERYTHING. Fresh parsley, basil, chives, lemon juice, garlic, and Dijon get blended with Greek yogurt for a creamy, tangy, herb-packed sauce that makes basic shredded chicken taste anything but basic.

They’re packed with protein. Between the chicken and Greek yogurt, these wraps are satisfying enough to actually hold you over until your next meal.

They’re customizable. Use Egglife wraps, your favorite tortillas, a gluten-free wrap, or whatever you already have in the fridge. Add more avocado. Skip the feta. Throw in some red onion. There are no rules here.

They’re meal-prep friendly. Make the green goddess chicken ahead of time and assemble your wraps throughout the week.

What is green goddess dressing?

Green goddess dressing is traditionally a creamy herb-based dressing made with fresh green herbs, lemon, and other flavorful ingredients. There are a million variations, and I love this version because it keeps things simple and uses Greek yogurt as the creamy base.

For these green goddess chicken wraps, we’re basically turning that dressing into a sauce for the chicken.

The combination of fresh parsley and basil gives the sauce that gorgeous bright green color and tons of fresh flavor. Chives add a mild onion-y bite, lemon juice keeps everything fresh and tangy, and garlic and Dijon add just enough savory flavor.

The Greek yogurt makes it creamy while also giving the chicken plenty of moisture.

Translation: rotisserie chicken + green goddess sauce = a very good idea.

Ingredients you’ll need

For the green goddess chicken

Rotisserie chicken: This is my shortcut. Shred about 2 cups of cooked rotisserie chicken. You can absolutely use leftover cooked chicken, too.

Greek yogurt: This makes the green goddess sauce creamy and adds a little extra protein. I recommend using plain Greek yogurt.

Fresh parsley: Don’t skip the fresh herbs. Parsley gives the sauce a bright, fresh flavor.

Fresh basil: Basil is what makes this sauce feel extra special. It adds that summery, herby flavor that works so well with the chicken.

Fresh chives: A little chive goes a long way and adds a subtle onion flavor.

Lemon juice: Fresh lemon juice brings acidity and keeps the sauce from feeling heavy.

Garlic: Just one small clove is enough to give the sauce some bite.

Dijon mustard: Dijon adds a little tang and depth.

Salt and black pepper: Essential, as always.

Water: You may need a tablespoon or two to thin the sauce depending on how thick your Greek yogurt is.

For the wraps

Once your chicken is ready, you’ll need your favorite wrap or tortilla, plus all of the crunchy, creamy toppings.

I use Egglife Original wraps, but any tortilla or wrap you love works.

Then add finely shredded romaine, diced cucumber, halved cherry tomatoes, sliced avocado, and crumbled feta if you’re into it. Finish everything with a squeeze of lemon and plenty of freshly cracked black pepper.

You can also add thinly sliced red onion for a little extra crunch and bite.

How to make green goddess chicken wraps

Start by making the green goddess sauce.

Add the Greek yogurt, parsley, basil, chives, lemon juice, garlic, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper to a blender. Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

If the sauce feels too thick, add 1 tablespoon of water and blend again. Add another tablespoon if needed. You want the consistency to be creamy and spoonable, but thin enough that it easily coats the chicken.

Add your shredded rotisserie chicken to a bowl and pour the green goddess sauce over top. Toss until every piece of chicken is coated.

And that’s your green goddess chicken.

I told you this was easy.

Next, prep your vegetables. Finely shred the romaine, dice the cucumber, halve the cherry tomatoes, and slice your avocado.

Warm your wraps for a few seconds if needed. This makes them more flexible and much easier to roll without tearing.

Layer the romaine onto the wrap, followed by a generous scoop of green goddess chicken. Add cucumber, tomatoes, avocado, and red onion if using. Sprinkle with feta, then finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and lots of black pepper.

Fold the sides of the wrap inward, then roll it up tightly.

And please, for the love of all things good, slice it in half. It just makes a wrap taste better. I don’t make the rules.

Tips for making the best wraps

Don’t overdo the sauce. You want the chicken coated and creamy, but not swimming in sauce. Start with enough to coat everything and add more if needed.

Use fresh herbs. This is one recipe where fresh herbs really matter. Dried parsley and basil won’t give you the same bright flavor or gorgeous green color.

Taste your chicken before assembling. Depending on how salty your rotisserie chicken is, you may want to add a little more salt, lemon juice, or pepper to the green goddess mixture.

Make the sauce ahead. If you’re meal prepping, you can make the green goddess sauce a day or two in advance and keep it refrigerated.

Keep avocado fresh. If you’re prepping these wraps ahead of time, I recommend adding the avocado right before eating so it stays fresh.

Don’t skip the lemon. A final squeeze of lemon over the assembled wrap makes all of the flavors pop.

Can I make these ahead of time?

Absolutely.

The green goddess chicken is actually a great make-ahead lunch component. Prepare the chicken mixture and store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. When you’re ready to eat, assemble your wrap with fresh vegetables and avocado.

If you want to fully assemble the wraps ahead of time, I recommend keeping the wetter ingredients toward the center and wrapping them tightly. For the freshest texture, though, I prefer prepping the individual components and assembling right before eating.

These are also a great option for using up leftover chicken. If you have extra roasted chicken, grilled chicken, or even turkey hanging around in your fridge, toss it with the green goddess sauce and call it lunch.

Easy swaps and additions

These wraps are very forgiving, so make them your own.

Use grilled chicken instead of rotisserie chicken.

Swap the Greek yogurt for another plain creamy yogurt if that’s what you have.

Use spinach instead of romaine, or add a handful of arugula for a peppery bite.

Skip the feta if you want to keep them dairy-free, or swap it for another cheese you love.

Add red onion, roasted red peppers, shredded carrots, or even a little sliced jalapeño.

You could also turn the green goddess chicken into a bowl instead of a wrap. Add it over greens with cucumber, tomatoes, avocado, and whatever other vegetables you have on hand. Drizzle with extra green goddess sauce and call it dinner.

What to serve with green goddess chicken wraps

Honestly, these are a full meal on their own. But if you’re serving them for lunch or dinner and want something on the side, I’d go with something simple and crunchy.

Fresh fruit, veggie sticks, potato chips, roasted potatoes, or a simple salad all work.

And if you’re packing these for your kids, let them build their own. Put the chicken and toppings out separately and let everyone assemble their own wrap. You already know I’m a big fan of anything that makes dinner or lunch slightly less chaotic.

The bottom line

These green goddess chicken wraps are proof that easy food can still be really, really good.

You get creamy, herby chicken, crunchy vegetables, buttery avocado, salty feta, and a bright hit of lemon all wrapped into one very satisfying meal. The whole thing comes together quickly, requires minimal cooking, and is easy to customize based on what your family actually likes.

It’s exactly the kind of recipe I want in my back pocket for busy weekdays when I need lunch fast but refuse to eat something boring.

Make the green goddess chicken ahead, keep your favorite wrap ingredients stocked, and you’re basically set.

And if you make these, do yourself a favor: add extra black pepper, squeeze over more lemon, slice that wrap right down the middle, and eat immediately.
