Make your own homemade Hanukkah Gelt with just one ingredient! These are such an easy DIY holiday recipe to make and kids absolutely love them.

Total Time: 2 hours

Yield: Makes about 6 large gelt and 10 small gelt 1x

Ingredients

Scale

About 9 ounces dark chocolate chips (you may need more or less depending on how much you want to make)
Silicone molds – I used this larger one and this smaller one
Gold foil to wrap the gelt

Cook Mode Prevent your screen from going dark

Instructions

Melt chocolate in microwave or double boiler than fill desired amount of silicone molds with chocolate about halfway (if you are adding in toppings, do so now too!)
Allow the chocolate to set in the fridge for about 2 hours then gently pop the coins out of the mold and wrap with gold foil and enjoy!

Notes

*Store in fridge for 2 months or freezer for about 4 months
