Ingredients

  • 2 lbs sirloin steak or boneless beef chuck roast, sliced thin
  • 2 cups beef broth, chicken broth or veggie broth
  • 1/2 cup coconut aminos
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 tablespoons tapioca flour or arrowroot four
  • 4 tablespoons water
  • 1 12-ounce bag frozen broccoli florets
  • To serve: cooked rice or quinoa or cauliflower rice

Instructions

  1. In the insert of a 6-quart crockpot/slow cooker, whisk together broth, coconut aminos, coconut sugar, sesame oil and garlic
  2. Add in the beef and toss to evenly coat
  3. Cover with lid and cook on low heat for 4 hours
  4. When beef is done cooking, whisk together arrowroot and water in a small bowl and pour into crock pot and mix (this thickens the sauce)
  5. Add in frozen broccoli on top an dmix all together gently
  6. Cover with lid and cook for 30 minutes on low heat so the broccoli cookies and sauce thickens
  7. Serve over rice, quinoa or as is!

Notes

*Store leftovers in airtight container in fridge for 5 days.
