The BEST Healthy Double Chocolate Muffins!! These muffins are flourless, dairy-free, gluten-free and made with simple ingredients for a nourishing and delicious muffin recipe.

Instructions

  1. To begin: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease a silicone muffin tray or line a standard muffin tray with liners
  2. Mix wet ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the nut butter, applesauce, eggs, maple syrup, coconut sugar, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth and well combined.
  3. Add dry ingredients: Stir in the cacao powder and baking soda until evenly incorporated.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips: Gently fold in the dark chocolate chips, reserving a few for topping if desired.
  5. Fill the muffin tin: Spoon the batter evenly into the prepared muffin tin, filling each about 3/4 full.
  6. Bake: Bake for 18-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with just a few moist crumbs.
  7. Cool & enjoy: Let the muffins cool in the tin for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
