Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons avocado or olive oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 lb grass-fed meat (beef, pork, turkey or chicken)
  • 1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
  • 1 (15-ounce) can organic pumpkin puree
  • 1 (28-ounce) can organic diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup Bonafide Provisions Organic Bone Broth
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne
  • Sea salt + pepper to taste
  • Toppings: avocado, unsweetened coconut yogurt, jalapeño, cilantro

      Instructions

      1. In a large pot over medium heat, heat the oil with onion and garlic
      2. Cook for about 5 minutes or until fragrant then add in the ground meat and cook until no longer pink. Drain fat if desired.
      3. Add the remaining ingredients (not toppings) to the pot and stir well to evenly combine
      4. Bring the chili to a boil then cover and simmer for 20 minutes
      5. Serve with desired toppings and enjoy while warm

      Notes

      *Store leftovers in fridge for 5 days

      **I am sure you can also make this in a slower cooker/crock pot!
