  • Cook Time: 8 mins
  • Total Time: 15 mins

Yield: Serves 3-4 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 pieces bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 cup broth (veggie or chicken works)
  • 1 bunch of broccoli rabe, washed and trimmed 1 inch of stems off
  • Sea salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: parmesan cheese to garnish

Instructions

  1. Warm a large skillet over medium/high heat and add in the bacon and garlic
  2. Allow the bacon to crisp a bit and when the fat is released, this acts as an oil for the pan
  3. Add in the broth and bring to a low boil then add in the broccoli rabe and stir all together, season with salt and pepper
  4. Cover with the lid and let it simmer for 5-8 minutes until softened (if there is still too much liquid after, cook for a couple minutes without the lid on medium heat)
  5. Serve while warm with desired main dishes
