Here’s how to make your own pickled red onions. Hands down my favorite to add to salads, sandwiches and burgers. It is so easy to make these at home.

Instructions

  1. Add the onions to a large mason jar (or large tupperware)
  2. In a medium pot combine the water, acv, coconut sugar and salt and bring to a simmer
  3. Pour the water mixture into the jar with the onions, cover and shake well
  4. Allow the onions to cool for a bit then add to fridge to “pickle”. Usually they’re best after 48 hours and they will stay good for 1 month in an airtight container
