These Vegan Banana Pudding bites are SO good! They are made with just 5 ingredients and it is everything you love about the classic dessert except in a finger-food form. Made with all gluten-free and dairy-free ingredients. banana pudding bites

Banana pudding is one of those recipes that we make all the time over here. Especially my 5-minute Vegan Banana Pudding. My family loves it, my friends are obsessed and Jordan particularly always asks for it because he can’t eat most of the banana puddings on the market since they have gluten in them.

Usually when you think of banana pudding, you think of the Magnolia Bakery classic. It is so popular and such a hot commodity in NYC.

Typically banana pudding is not allergy-friendly. But this version is vegan or gluten free-friendly and it is dairy-free. My recipe is subtly sweet and creamy and it is just so delicious. Gluten-free vanilla wafers, freshly sliced bananas and a coconut yogurt mix that mimics pudding.

I love this banana pudding bite version as it is such a yummy finger food to make for a party or holiday or any entertaining. Plus it takes many 10 minutes total to put together.

These dairy-free banana pudding bites are made without a vanilla pudding mix, they’re not as loaded with sugar as the classic versions and I top it off with some coconut whipped cream before serving.

You will love this recipe because it’s creamy, just the right amount of sweet and it is an easy no-bake dessert. You can also customize it to your liking or using what you have. I did a vanilla coconut yogurt but you could use really any non-dairy yogurt you’d like such as an oat-based or almond-based yogurt as well.

I hope you love this as much as we do – I can’t wait to hear what you think!

What ingredients you need to make vegan banana pudding bites:

  • Coconut yogurt – vanilla or plan and you can use another yogurt if you prefer
  • Cane sugar or coconut sugar – either one works for this
  • Vanilla extract – love adding for flavor in this
  • Gluten-free vanilla wafers
  • Bananas – fresh banana more on the ripe side works
  • Coconut whipped cream for topping

How to make these banana pudding bites:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, add the yogurt, sugar and vanilla extract and mix well
  2. Add in 1 of the sliced bananas then mix with either spatula or you can use a hand mixer so it’s fluffier
  3. Lay out the cookies then assemble the bites by adding a spoonful of pudding on top of each cookie followed by 2 banana slices and the whipped cream on top
  4. Serve immediately as they get soggy

FAQs and tips on making heathy banana pudding:

  1. Do I have to let this pudding chill? You don’t have to! You definitely can prep this ahead of time but don’t assemble it until you’re about it it.
  2. Do I have to use non-dairy yogurt? To make this vegan, yes. But if you’re not dairy-free/vegan, nope! Use a vanilla yogurt of your choosing.
  3. Can I add other toppings? Totally! Some shredded coconut, chocolate shavings or even some caramel is all amazing in this.
  4. Can I assemble these ahead of time? I don’t recommend it because the cookies are going to be soggy if you do.
