Tortilla pizza is one of the fastest recipe to make. Since you are using a tortilla as a base, it cooks much faster than pizza dough and requires much less prep work! And tortilla pizza is easy, budget-friendly and much cheaper than ordering take out.

Even though they are lighter than a traditional pizza, you can make a couple if you think you will still be hungry. I usually eat two in a sitting especially if it’s dinner and I like to have a salad or side dish of sorts with it.

What ingredients you need to make tortilla pizza in the air fryer:

  • Flour tortillas of choice – can be regular flour, gluten-free or almond flour tortillas. I don’t think corn tortillas would work very well.
  • Sauce of choice – any pizza or marinara sauce or even pesto!
  • Shredded mozzarella – you can use any cheese you want on pizza but I love mozzarella for this but I have also tried cheddar when I am out of mozzarella and it was great
  • Toppings of choice – you can really use any toppings you want for this! They’re super customizable and you can use various veggies, sausage, pepperonis, any cheeses, sauces and more.

How to make air fryer tortilla pizza:

  1. Warm your air fryer to 400 degrees and add tortillas to baking sheet or air fryer basket
  2. Brush the outer edges with some olive oil to crisp if desired
  3. Spread pizza sauce onto the tortilla about 1/2 inch from the edge then top with desired toppings
  4. Cook in air fryer at 400 degrees for 3 minutes or until pizza is brown and bubbly!
  5. Slice into slices and enjoy warm

Tips for success making tortilla pizza in the air fryer:

  • You can really use any toppings you want for this! They’re super customizable and you can use various veggies, sausage, pepperonis, any cheeses, sauces and more.
  • If you want to make a few of these and keep them in the freezer, you totally can. These tortilla pizzas make excellent freezer meals. You can make a big batch and freeze them for later. Assemble your pizzas then stack with parchment paper or wax paper in between them then store in a zip lock bag then freeze and cook when ready per directions below.
  • Make sure to not overload your pizzas so they don’t turn out soggy. Too much sauce can make the tortilla too wet/watery.
