The best Flourless Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies made with all gluten-free, dairy-free ingredients and no refined sugars. Truly a cookie recipe anyone can bake.
Um yes, this recipe has a total of 4 ingredients in it. It is that easy to make. Almost too easy to the point where it’s dangerous since I have been wanting to make these everyday since I first took my first bite of one.
The other amazing part of these cookies is that they are gluten free, grain free & dairy free. You can also make them paleo by subbing creamy almond butter for peanut butter if you’d like. These are the BEST healthy cookies ever. And they are so easy to bake.
So let’s chat about how there are 4ingredients into one peanut buttery, fudgey, delicious cookie. I am all about the easy, simple and quick recipes aka the lazy girl’s guide to eating and baking. While I love spending time in my kitchen experimenting and making different things, I understand the the average person doesn’t really get a thrill out of it like I do. Good-for-you and delicious food should be easy to prepare. It shouldn’t come with more than 10 ingredients and it shouldn’t take you hours to make. That’s what going out to dinner is for. Save the gourmet fancy Soufflés for your next date night.
4-ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies is what you can make for a quick treat after a long ass day at work or when you are in a bind and need to bring a dessert to a friend’s house. All you will need is peanut butter, an egg & coconut sugar plus chocolate chips!
If you want a larger batch of these too, you can easily double the recipe. I often do that and then freeze them. I love them frozen!
What ingredients are in these 4-ingredient flourless cookies:
- Creamy peanut butter – if you are allergic to peanut butter, you can use almond butter too
- Egg – I haven’t tested flax egg for this recipe
- Coconut sugar – you can sub cane sugar if you prefer too or brown sugar can even work
- Chocolate chips – I love dark chocolate chips for this but you can use milk chocolate or semi-sweet if you want
How to make Flourless Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookies:
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and line cookie sheet with parchment paper and spray
- In a large mixing bowl, mix the peanut butter, sugar, egg and baking soda together
- Fold in chocolate chips
- Using a tablespoon or your hand, place balls of dough on top cookie sheet
- Press down on the ball so it flattens slightly and sprinkle with flakey sea salt if desired
- Bake in oven for 10-12 minutes or until ready
- Allow the cookies to cool then enjoy!
FAQs and tips on making these flourless cookies:
- Can I use another nut butter if I can’t eat peanut butter? Absolutely. Almond butter is my preference besides peanut butter but you can also use cashew butter or tahini too.
- Are these cookies sweet? They’re not too sweet. As you’ll see they only have 1/2 cup of coconut sugar in them. You can add more if you want them sweeter but they also have chocolate chips, which adds sweetness.
- I want more than 6 cookies, can I double the batch? Yes!! Double the batch if you’d like.
- My cookies fell apart, help! Make sure to let the cookies cool completely. Also depending on the peanut butter brand, it may impact the consistency. A natural peanut butter like I use will yield different results than a conventional one like Skippy.

Is there anything I can sub the coconut sugar for? Stevia?
Rachel
Hi Samantha! I haven’t tried that but I’m not the biggest stevia fan with baking (I love it my beverages though!). I would recommend cane sugar before stevia for this! If you have the opportunity to purchase coconut sugar, I recommend it. It’s an great option! xx

LOVE the last photo! These look delicious and I wanna eat ’em all up 🙂
Jill
These are DELICIOUS. I added a few chocolate chips to give me the coveted PB and Choc flavor and it’s taking all my willpower not to eat the batch. I did find that the batter was way too sticky at first so I added a little more sugar to make it easier to handle. Maybe I didn’t measure the sugar correctly the first time but I thought I had equal sugar to PB. Either way, so good.

tuyeterbug
Easy recipe especially as a toddler activity! Added ground flaxseed for some omega-3s and it worked well with no effect to consistency 🙂
Rachel
love that addition!!
Chelsea
Yum! Delicious and so easy to make. My gas oven took about 15 minutes total to bake the cookies at 340 degrees (know thy oven!). I think next time I’ll experiment with some vanilla extract.
If anyone prefers to measure via weight rather than volume, one cup of creamy peanut butter weighs 256 grams and one cup of coconut sugar weighs 192 grams.
Rachel
thank you!! x
