These Greek Turkey Burgers with feta cheese, olive and herbs are such a delicious and easy juicy turkey burger recipe to make to pair with hummus, tzatziki and your favorite Mediterranean sides.
I am obsessed with turkey burgers here. I make them almost every single week and these Greek turkey burgers are a personal favorite. They’re so easy to prep for dinner and you only need 15 minutes to both prep and cook them.
You can pair these burgers with your favorite greek-bowl sides and mix-in’s and condiments. Serve it on a bun, lettuce wrap, with rice, veggies, anything you’d like. And they’re great for kids too. I don’t know what it is about kids and the olive obsession. But my kids love anything with olives or cheese for that matter.
When you are craving a burger and also want something lighter, these turkey burgers are *it*. They’re healthy, light and insanely flavorful and juicy. And I love anything Greek-inspired. Because that means hummus, pita and feta cheese are usually involved.
I cannot wait to hear what you think of these Greek turkey burgers – I hope you love them as much as we do!
What ingredients you need to make these Greek-inspired turkey burgers:
- Ground turkey – if you don’t love turkey, try ground chicken or lamb
- Garlic powder, onion powder and oregano – I use these 3 spices but you can add more if you prefer too
- Feta cheese crumbles – if you don’t love feta cheese, use goat cheese
- Kalamata olives – I love adding these in for flavor and a little saltiness but if don’t love olives, omit. You can also do sun-dried tomatoes or roasted red peppers too
- For serving: rice, cucumber tomato salad, hummus, tzatziki, pita, anything you’d like
How to make Greek turkey burgers:
- Add turkey, spices, feta and olives to bowl and mix together (I use meat handling gloves)
- Form into 4 equal patties with your hand
- Warm a large skillet with medium high heat
- Lower heat to medium and grease with a drizzle of oil or spray then add each burger to skillet and cook for 3 to 4 minutes on each side or until meat thermometer reaches 165 degrees F
- Remove from heat and enjoy with desired sides
FAQs and tips on making juicy turkey burgers with feta cheese:
- Can you grill the turkey burgers instead of using skillet? Totally! An outdoor grill or even indoor countertop grill can work. Cook until burger reaches 165 degrees F.
- I don’t love turkey, what else can I use? Ground chicken or lamb both work really well. I personally love lamb for this and turkey is also a go-to on a weekly basis.
- What do you serve these with? Usually a tomato, cucumber and feta cheese salad, rice, quinoa, over a salad, with sweet potato fries, anything you’d like.
- Can I add in some veggies to the burgers? Chopped spinach is a great addition. I love adding that in or some chopped zucchini too.
