These Oven Dried Strawberries are so easy to make and they’re such a delicious and simple snack that my kids and I love and add to trail mixes, yogurt bowls, anything!

Making your own dried strawberries is SO easy!! I spend way too much $$ on snacks like dried fruits for my family and I. And don’t get me wrong – I will likely continue to add them to my list from time to time, but these are so easy to make. Especially if you buy a large amount of strawberries – you can make a ton of dried ones. And all you have to do is slice them up and bake them in the oven.

That’s right! No dehydrator or anything is needed. I just slice my strawberries evenly and add them to a baking sheet and they dry out in a few hours.

These are great for a healthy snack for kids, to add to trail mixes, into cereal, yogurt bowls, anything you want! I am going to start testing more fruits in the oven and see what else turns out just as good if not better than the ones I buy in the store.

How to make your own dried strawberries:

  1. Preheat oven to 210 degrees F
  2. Wash strawberries well (this is how I wash mine)
  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  4. Slice strawberries into slices (about 1/8 inch thick) and make sure they are around the same size or they will need different times in oven
  5. Add strawberries to baking sheet and and to oven and cook for about 3-4 hours (flip after 2 hours)
  6. The strawberries should feel a bit dried out and not not wet anymore

FAQs about making dried strawberries:

  • How long does it take to dehydrate strawberries in the oven? About 3-4 hours! Depends on how thin you sliced the berries and they should all be the same size sliced.
  • How long can these dried strawberries stay good for? When I make my own – we really fly through them. But I’d say 5-7 days. It’s hard to get ALL the moisture out so to avoid any moldy berries – consume within 5 days.
  • Can I make dried strawberries without a dehydrator? Absolutely! You only need your oven to make these.
