Making your own dried mango is SO EASY everybody! And if you are as obsessed with it as I am, this will be life changing for you.

I spend $10 on a bag of dried mango that is gone in a day. And yes I will still buy it because I’m not making this every single day, but my new thing is to batch cook a lot of mango at once. It is so easy to make and turns out so good in the oven. You don’t need any special equipment – just mango, baking sheet, cooling rack and your oven.

Plus this way you get to control the size of the cheeks you want (I love dried mango cheeks!).

I cannot wait to hear what you think of this!! Don’t forget to tag me on Instagram and Tiktok if you try it.

What you need to make dried mango in the oven:

How to dry out mango in the oven:

  1. Preheat oven to 175 degrees
  2. Peel the skin off the mango then gently slice each mango into 1/4 inch pieces longways (cut around the pit!)
  3. Add each slice to a baking sheet topped with an oven-safe cooling rack (this helps cook off any moisture from the mango)
  4. Add to oven and bake for about 5 hours (flipping each piece over every hour)
  5. Remove from heat and let the mango cool then enjoy

FAQs about making dried mango:

  • Can you make dried mango without a dehydrator? Absolutely!! That is how we are making it today – just with an oven so no special tools needed.
  • Is dried mango a healthy snack? I personally just eat it for no reason. It’s not something that fills me up but more of a mindless snack for me. Considering the ingredients are just mangos and NO added sugar, I consider this healthy and my kids love it.
  • How long does this dried mango stay good for? Usually 2 weeks. But I doubt it will last that long.
