No-Bake “Oreo” Cookie Heart Truffles! These are my favorite dessert to make especially for Valentines Day. They’re gluten-free and vegan – perfect to make with your kids or friends!
Am I a Pinterest Mom yet?!?! Kidding (well kind of).
These are actually the cutest cookies I have ever made. They were so easy to make and when I first told Jordan we were going to whip up some healthier oreo type dessert using just chocolate cookies and vanilla frosting – he thought I was nuts. I am pretty sure he was betting against me on this one, but now you can probably find him devouring these cookie truffles from the freezer.
I am obsessed with how cute these turned out and even if you are looking at these like “no way I am making these” – I promise you – you totally can!! They’re not hard to make. Just need a littttttle patience for when the cookies need to chill and you are golden.
I cannot wait to hear what you think!
What ingredients are in these no-bake oreo truffles:
- Chocolate cookies of choice (I used these gluten-free ones)
- Vanilla frosting
- White chocolate (dairy-free if needed)
- Food dye and sprinkles – I love these because they aren’t filled with artificial ingredients!
How to make oreo cookie hearts:
- Add the cookies and icing to food processor and blend together until the dough is formed and cookies are well blended with the icing. It should be easy to form!
- Line an 8×8 baking dish with parchment paper
- Add the dough to the dish and press down to form it into a large square
- Add the dish to a freezer to set for 30 minutes
- While cookies set, melt the chocolate in microwave in a microwave-safe bowl (add oil to help melt as needed). I melt in 30 second increments and stir between
- Add 1/2 the melted chocolate to another bowl and add in food coloring if using so you have 2 different bowls to dip
- Gently lift up the parchment paper to remove the cookies from the baking dish and place on a cleaned counter top or large cutting board
- Using your heart shape cookie cutters, cut out hearts into the cookie (if you have leftover, it is so good crushed up on top of ice cream!)
- Gently dip a heart cookie in the melted chocolate and place on a wire rack to set and sprinkle with sprinkles if using
- Repeat for remaining heart cookies then place into the fridge or freezer to set and enjoy!
