These Chocolate Spiderwebs are the ultimate Halloween Pretzel Treat! They’re easy to make, gluten free and vegan-friendly, sweet, salty and with an epic crunch. Great for kids and any Halloween themed parties!
These chocolate spiderwebs are ADORABLE guys!!!! And one of my favorite easy Halloween recipes to make.
I make them for friends, for Halloween parties and for whenever I want to snack on them. Because you know I live for a sweet and salty combination like these chocolate pretzel webs.
I love that these look 100x more elaborate and fancy than they actually are too. They take about 10 minutes of effort and then you just let them set in your fridge for the chocolate and sprinkles to all firm up together. Plus you can use white chocolate, dark chocolate, milk chocolate or a mix of them all for these. Anything you are craving or having on hand works!
Tip: prep these ahead of time for a snack that’s ready to eat! They stay good for 5-7 days in the fridge.
What ingredients you need to make chocolate spiderwebs:
- Gluten-free pretzel sticks – or use regular if preferred! Any pretzel stick works for this recipe
- Dark chocolate – your favorite bar of chocolate or chocolate chips works!
- White chocolate – it’s optional but I love adding white chocolate to these
- Halloween sprinkles – for sprinkling on top of the pretzel webs!
How to make a Halloween spiderweb pretzel treat:
- Take out wax paper or parchment paper and trace 8-inch diameter circles onto the paper (I used a bowl to measure!)
- Cut out the circles and place wax paper on cookie sheet, evenly spread apart
- Arrange 8 pretzel sticks on each circle so they are touching in the center and form almost a “flower or star” like shape
- Starting at the center and working outwards, make a swirl around the pretzels with dark chocolate until the spiderweb look is achieved (I stop before the edges!)
- Repeat for the rest of the pretzel webs you are making
- Drizzle white chocolate on top if desired then sprinkle the sprinkles on top
- Add the baking sheet to the fridge to set for at least 2 hours then carefully peel spiderwebs from wax paper if desired or leave them on for effect (I usually leave them on if it’s white and it looks cute for the web!)
Tips for success making Chocolate Spiderwebs:
- I highly encourage the use of wax paper or parchment paper to help with the sticking! I wouldn’t make these without it or the chocolate will be stuck to baking sheet and foil wouldn’t work
- These are a great nut-free Halloween snack to make for school and kids! Plus my kids love eating anything pretzel-related. Even if it is 8am, they’re asking for pretzels 🙂
- You can also sprinkle on other toppings besides sprinkles like finely crushed peanuts or coconut flakes
- I like to let these set in the fridge for they firm up a bit quicker
- I also keep them in the fridge so they stay fresh for up to 5-7 days!
