These Easy Melted Snowman Cookies are a MUST try this holiday season! One of our favorite special treats to make and they’re gluten-free, great for kids and are such a fun activity with your little ones.

These Melted Snowman Cookies are so incredibly cute and festive!! They’re a classic holiday recipe to make with your kids. The traditional ones have marshmallows, but you know my love/obsession with peanut butter cups. So naturally, we had to do a twist on these with the best flavor combo ever.

I don’t think they taste as good with marshmallows but with peanut butter cups – wow wow wow! Add them when they cookies are warm, not cold and not hot so they stick right to them. Then you can decorate them as you wish with some melted white chocolate, candy and sprinkles. My pretzel addition was a last minute decision and I am here for it. It adds a crunchy and it’s the delicious salty sweet combo these needed.

You and your kids will love making these. You can really use any toppings you want for decorating too. I love using the colored m&m looking candy, pretzel sticks and sprinkles. But feel free to get creative. These are meant to be fun so it’s not an exact science.

I cannot wait to hear what you think of them!! I hope you love these too.

FAQs and tips on making Melted Snowman Cookies:

  1. Add the peanut butter or almond butter cups to nearly cooled cookies. When they are warm and not hot or cold. That way they stick onto the cookie a bit when decorating.
  2. Add the decorations quickly! You want them to stick on well so make sure to do it when chocolate is melted.
  3. What is the best way to store these cookies? In an airtight container for up to 4 days. These don’t freeze well because of the decorations on top and it’ll become spotty and not as good.
  4. Can I use a homemade cookie recipe? Absolutely! I love making these with my Vegan Funfetti Sugar Cookies or even my Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookies.
  5. I don’t like white chocolate, can I use milk or dark chocolate? You can! It wouldn’t look like a snowman though but would taste yummy.
  6. I don’t eat nuts, what can I do instead of peanut butter cup? Add marshmallows on top! And decorate those. Would be so yummy too.
