Tortilla pizza is one of the fastest recipe to make. Since you are using a tortilla as a base, it cooks much faster than pizza dough and requires much less prep work! And tortilla pizza is easy, budget-friendly and much cheaper than ordering take out.
Even though they are lighter than a traditional pizza, you can make a couple if you think you will still be hungry. I usually eat two in a sitting especially if it’s dinner and I like to have a salad or side dish of sorts with it.
What ingredients you need to make tortilla pizza in the air fryer:
- Flour tortillas of choice – can be regular flour, gluten-free or almond flour tortillas. I don’t think corn tortillas would work very well.
- Sauce of choice – any pizza or marinara sauce or even pesto!
- Shredded mozzarella – you can use any cheese you want on pizza but I love mozzarella for this but I have also tried cheddar when I am out of mozzarella and it was great
- Toppings of choice – you can really use any toppings you want for this! They’re super customizable and you can use various veggies, sausage, pepperonis, any cheeses, sauces and more.

Tips for success making tortilla pizza in the air fryer:
- You can really use any toppings you want for this! They’re super customizable and you can use various veggies, sausage, pepperonis, any cheeses, sauces and more.
- If you want to make a few of these and keep them in the freezer, you totally can. These tortilla pizzas make excellent freezer meals. You can make a big batch and freeze them for later. Assemble your pizzas then stack with parchment paper or wax paper in between them then store in a zip lock bag then freeze and cook when ready per directions below.
- Make sure to not overload your pizzas so they don’t turn out soggy. Too much sauce can make the tortilla too wet/watery.

How do I keep the pepperonis on top of the pizza? They fly off in the air fryer.
Rachel

Worked perfectly. I used a Ninja oven with air fry pan on air fry mode. Add an extra minute with more toppings…..don’t forget the garlic powder and Italian seasoning. My new pizza fix without the guilt/extra calories.

After the cheese starts to melt open it up and press the pepperonis into the melting cheese it’ll help hold onto them
