We love this Jalapeño Popper Dip! It’s the perfect appetizer and it’s ready in under 30 minutes. A rich and delicious creamy cheesy dip with a kick to it.
I made this recipe for my book club crew. They are cheese lovers and I was doing a dessert snack board for everyone and wanted something savory to go along with it. Half my friends are team savory and other half are team sweet.
This jalapeño popper dip hits the spot for my savory lovers. It is the best part of the restaurant jalapeño poppers too – the creamy center with bacon. Not to mention that it is such an easy recipe to whip up too. I made this in under 30 minutes including prep time. I had it cooking in the oven as I put my kids to sleep and served it with some crackers and veggies.
The kick from this dip comes from the jalapeños and if you love spicy – you will love this! The dip is crazy flavorful, very easy to put together and it feeds a group. It is a great party appetizer that crowds love. It is so much easier than making classic jalapeño poppers since you don’t have to individually stuff each jalapeño with this dip.
Jalapeño popper dip is easy, delicious, creamy and such a crowd-pleaser. You can prep this dip ahead of time and bake right before you want to serve it. Just assemble the ingredients besides the garnishes and cook right before you want to serve it.
You, your friends and family will obsess over this dish. I can’t wait to hear if you make this dip. Let me know if you try it soon!
What ingredients you need to make this Jalapeño Popper Dip:
- Cooked bacon – you can use pork or turkey bacon. Either works in this dip!
- Cream cheese – leave the cream cheese out for an hour if you can so it’s room temperature when you make the dip
- Canned jalapeños – I like canned jalapeños in this dish over fresh for the dip itself
- Greek yogurt – you can also sub sour cream if you want or blended cottage cheese. I prefer greek yogurt for the protein
- Mayonnaise – any mayonnaise you prefer. If you aren’t team mayo, sub more yogurt or sour cream
- Monterey jack cheese – you can buy a block of this and shred it or buy it pre-shredded to save time. Pre-shredded cheese doesn’t melt as well but does work!
- Cheddar cheese – you can buy a block and shred it or buy pre-shredded cheese
- Small jalapeño – for an extra kick, add a fresh jalapeño on top before serving
- Cilantro and scallions – love adding this on top for more flavor when the dip is fully cooked
- For serving: your favorite crackers, veggies, bread or anything you are craving

- What should I serve this dip with? Your go-to crackers, bread, veggies, anything you want! I love doing some gluten-free crackers and we almost always have them on hand.
