You guys are going to devour these Thai Beef Lettuce Wraps!! They are a must make for busy weeknights and they are healthy, loaded with flavor and ready in under 15 minutes.
I love how easy this recipe is. And lettuce wraps are such a simple and delicious light meal or appetizer to serve. I know lettuce wraps sound boring and lame, but these Thai lettuce wraps are anything but boring. The beef mixture is filled with flavor, has all the right textures and the tasty spices and sauced on top is so so good.
These wraps are fresh, healthy and tasty. You can really use any ground meat you want too if beef isn’t your favorite. Try ground turkey, chicken instead. And if you don’t usually love lettuce wraps but want the meat mixture – serve this over some rice or quinoa too. You can dress this dish up however you want.
The flavors of the meat from the homemade sauce are just so good. I cannot wait for you guys to try these. Let me know what you think!
What ingredients are in these Thai Beef Lettuce Wraps:
- Maple syrup – I love adding this for sweetness but if you don’t want sugar, you can omit
- Coconut aminos – you can use soy sauce or liquid aminos if you’d like
- Rice vinegar – you can use another vinegar if you wish
- Sesame oil – I love using a toasted sesame oil in this
- Arrowroot flour or tapioca flour – either flour can work here or use corn starch
- Ground beef
- Garlic – fresh garlic cloves are great for this
- Fresh ginger – or you can use ground ginger if you prefer
- Carrots – you can use shredded carrots if you prefer too
- Celery – I like to add for extra crunch to these
- Sesame seeds – black or white sesame seeds work
- Lettuce cups for serving – I used romaine but you can use bib lettuce too

FAQs and tips on making these Thai Lettuce Wraps:
- What is the best way to store these lettuce wraps? The beef filling stays good in the fridge for 3-4 days. I recommend assembling the lettuce wrap right before serving.
- How should I reheat these? In a skillet or a microwave. Either can work well.
- Can I use another type of ground meat? Absolutely! Ground turkey or chicken both works well instead of beef.
- Is this dish spicy? Not at all. It is more on the sweet side from the sauce too. My kids loved this dish and they had it with rice instead of lettuce wraps.
- If you aren’t a fan of lettuce wraps, serve this over some rice, quinoa or soba noodles!
