Here’s how to make your own Gluten-free Granola Bars with Yogurt Glaze! So much healthier than store-bought granola bars and made with all healthy ingredients.
I LOVE granola bars. I am such a bar girl and snack bars are such a go-to of mine every single day. And making your own bars is SO easy and underrated.
You only need a few ingredients to make these and they come together so easily. You just add all of the ingredients into a bowl then mix it with the peanut butter and syrup and press everything into the baking dish.
These bars are a staple in our freezer and fridge. My husband devoured these in 2 days the first time I made them. I was so exited for the kids to try them but then he was so obsessed ha! So needless to say, they are approved by adults and kids. I cannot wait for you guys to try them. Let me know what you think!!
What ingredients are in homemade granola bars with yogurt:
- Gluten-free rolled oats
- Chopped almonds – or any chopped nut works well like pecans too
- Coconut flakes – I look for unsweetened ones for no added sugar
- Creamy peanut butter – if you prefer almond butter or cashew that’s fine. Just needs to be creamy
- Maple syrup – or honey works well too but you need one of these to make the granola bars stick nicely!
- Yogurt of choice – you can use dairy-free if preferred
How to make no-bake healthy granola bars:
- Line an 8×8 baking dish and line it with parchment paper
- Mix together oats, almonds, coconut flakes in a large bowl
- In a small bowl mix together peanut butter and maple syrup then pour on top of the oat mixture
- Pour into the baking dish and press firmly
- Add to freezer to set for 1 hour then remove and slice into 8 bars and add back to freezer for 1 more hour
- Drizzle yogurt on top and keep in fridge or freezer until you’d like to eat.
FAQs about making homemade granola bars:
- Do you need to bake these bars in the oven? Nope! You just freeze them. No baking is needed and they turned out so perfectly chewy and delicious. I love the texture when they’re cold too.
- Are these a healthy snack? Yes absolutely. These are filled with healthy fats, fiber and they are low in sugar compared to the usual granola bar. My kids absolutely devour them. As does my husband.
- How do you make these granola bars stick together? The maple syrup and peanut butter together help these stick. I don’t recommend not using maple syrup or they won’t stick together. But you could do honey if you prefer.

Hi, I love your recipes, and these look great! I’m curious if these will hold together at room temperature for a few hours if I take them on the go? Or do you think they are best right out of the fridge or freezer? Thank you!
Jackie
