You guys know I love my bark recipes over here. And there is a reason why banana bark, date bark and now this strawberry bark all go viral. They’re so delicious and satisfy our sweet tooth but in a healthier way.
This bark I made is a combo of the banana bark and strawberry bark. It has a base layer of sliced strawberries and banana then I add some chocolate, peanut butter and some coconut flakes on top too.
The flavors in this bark is sooo good. And it’s a recipe you will want to keep stocked up in your freezer. I love having recipes like these on hand for when I am craving something sweet. And this is such a healthy dessert and the only added sugar is from the chocolate chips.
I know you guys will love this recipe as much as we do. I cannot wait to hear what you think!
What ingredients are in strawberry banana bark:
- Strawberries – fresh not frozen and you want to thinly slice them
- Banana – I use about 1 small banana here and it’s sliced into rounds
- Creamy peanut butter – you can use any nut or seed butter you want too!
- Chocolate chips – dark, milk or semi-sweet chocolate can all work
- Unsweetened coconut flakes, granola or cacao nibs for crunch
How to make strawberry banana bark:
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and add strawberry slices and banana to form a “flower” of sorts. Make sure they are all touching.
- Melt chocolate chips in microwave (add coconut oil if needed) and melt in 30 second increments until melted (stir in between)
- Drizzle chocolate layer across the strawberries and bananas
- Then drizzle peanut butter on top and sprinkle some coconut flakes if using
- Add to freezer to set for at least 20 minutes then enjoy!
FAQs and tips on making this bark:
- I recommend using drippy peanut butter in this so it drizzles well. But you can also warm up the peanut butter too too to make it easier to spread.
- If you are allergic to peanut butter, you can also use any nut butter you want like almond butter, cashew butter or even tahini.
- You can use any chocolate you’d like in this recipe. I usually use dark chocolate or semi-sweet but it is up to you!
- How should I store this bark? Keep this in the freezer for 2 months or fridge for 7 days!
- Can I make this even lower in sugar? Sure! Use chocolate without added sugar if you want.
