These Banana Yogurt Bites are absolutely delicious, made with 4 ingredients and kids and adults love them. Such a snack to make – especially if you love my frozen yogurt bark!
Making a batch of these yogurt bites is a simple way to change up how you snack on yogurt! They’re filled with healthy fats, probiotics, calcium and are fun to make and eat. You can really use so many different add-in’s too so it’s easy to switch things up.
I love making these for my kids to snack on and they’re great for toddlers especially. You can use a dairy-free or dairy-based yogurt too and my kids love to “decorate” them. Plus it’s cheaper to make these than buy other store-bought yogurt snacks all the time. You can make them in small bites too if you want, or into these large rounds like we do.
My kids call them “froyo bites” and now help themselves to them in the freezer!
Tip: I love this way of serving yogurt! Such a great source of protein, healthy fats and I use unsweetened yogurt to keep sugar count down.
What ingredients are in these yogurt bites:
- Ripe banana – the riper the banana, the sweeter your bites will be!
- Yogurt of choice – I usually use greek yogurt or you can use a dairy-free one
- Melted chocolate – technically optional but I love adding it on top!
- Creamy peanut butter – or use your preferred nut butter
- Optional: granola or something crunchy to sprinkle on top
How to make banana yogurt bites:
- Peel a banana and mash it into a bowl
- Mix in yogurt of choice then add into circles onto the lined baking sheet
- Drizzle chocolate and peanut butter on top and sprinkle desired toppings
- Add to the freezer to set for about an hour and enjoy!
FAQs on making these banana yogurt bites:
- Can you use any yogurt? Yes! I usually use a greek yogurt for these but really any variety can work. I do prefer unsweetened though so it doesn’t add sugar to to the bites but do what you are craving!
- How long do these stay good for? About 2 months the freezer. Thaw them out for a few minute before eating too. They do need to stay frozen until eating so I don’t recommend packing them in a lunch box.
- Can I give these to my baby or toddler? Totally! I’d leave out the chocolate then if they’re under 1 year old but just my opinion.
- Can you use other mix-ins? Absolutely! Feel free to add in other fruits, nut butters, coconut flakes, chia seed, anything!
