We eat A LOT of tacos over here guys. Like a lot a lot.

Whether it’s breakfast tacos, chicken tacos, beef tacos, fish tacos, you name it! I always suggest it for dinner and it’s always a crowd pleaser. Especially with Ez who loves tortillas. I have to serve his tacos deconstructed so he eats the actual protein first. Otherwise he just ends up eating the tortillas for dinner and asking for more 10,000 times.

These shrimp tacos though are one of the easiest recipes you will ever make. They cook in just 8 minutes or less and the whole recipe itself can come together in less than 15 minutes. What the beep is better than that? Plus I make mine in the oven so there is no mess on the stove to clean up either. You can definitely try to make these on the grill or stovetop though if you prefer.

I cannot wait to hear what you think of this recipe!! I hope you love it as much as we do.

What ingredients you need to make these healthy shrimp tacos with spicy slaw:

  • Wild shrimp, thawed
  • Olive oil or avocado oil
  • Paprika, chili powder, cumin
  • Sea salt and black pepper to taste
  • Tortillas of choice
  • Guacamole
  • Bag of slaw (I used the organic broccoli slaw from Trader Joe’s)
  • Full-fat greek yogurt
  • Garlic powder
  • Chili powder
  • Small jalapeño, seeds removed, chopped

How to make these easy shrimp tacos in just 15 minutes:

  1. First make the slaw by mixing together the ingredients in a large bowl
  2. Add slaw to fridge so everything really marinates together (I also prep this the night before sometimes if I know I am making it)
  3. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  4. Add the shrimp to a large bowl and mix in the oil and spices to evenly coat each piece
  5. Allow the shrimp to marinate for a few (again you can do this night before if you want)
  6. Cook the shrimp in the oven for about 6-8 minutes
  7. Warm tortillas as you’d like an assemble tacos with by adding shrimp, slaw and guacamole to tortilla. Garnish with cilantro if desired.
