INSANE homemade Cinnamon Roll Waffles with Cream Cheese Glaze. Made with all simple ingredients and truly the best homemade waffles that taste like a cinnamon bun glazed with cream cheese frosting.
Looking for a decadent and flipping DREAMY waffle recipe?!
Well I have it for you guys!!! These Cinnamon Roll Waffles are everything and more. Oh and did I mention that they have a cream cheese glaze on top?! Because they do and it is the flipping best ever.
These are the type of waffles you will make when you want real deal waffles filled with cinnamon roll flavor and just plain old decadence.
The waffles aren’t gluten-free themselves since I use the classic mix from Birch Benders. But you can 100% sub the gluten-free or paleo one to make them gluten-free if you’d like. I made this because I personally just wanted something classic. And that is when I broke out some classic mix.
I swirled in some delicious cinnamon sugar mixture into the mix for that cinnamon bun-like flavor and I am forever obsessed.
You guys are going to love these as much as we do over here. At least I hope! They are perfect for a weekend brunch or holiday or birthday. Or really any damn day.
What ingredients you need to make these Cinnamon Roll Waffles with Cream Cheese Glaze:
- Birch Benders Classic Mix – you can also use another one of their mixes but follow directions on back of package for ratios for waffles
- Non-dairy milk – any you’d like!
- Oil – I used liquid coconut oil but any oil works
- Vanilla extract – a splash of this goes a long way!
- Coconut sugar – you can use a mix of brown sugar and cane sugar if needed but I don’t recommend honey or maples syrup
- Softened ghee – or softened coconut oil works too for dairy-free
- Cinnamon – lots and lots of cinnamon
- Cream cheese – you can use dairy-free cream cheese too
- Powdered sugar – I haven’t used a unrefined sugar-free option!
How to whip up these waffles ASAP:
- Heat your waffle iron (I used this mini one!)
- In a large bowl, mix together the waffle ingredients until smooth
- In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon roll mixture then pour into waffle mixture and mix to combine
- Grease the waffle iron with spray (you will want to do this between each batch of waffles)
- Scoop 1/4 of batter into the warmed waffle maker and cook for about 3 minutes or until ready
- To make cream cheese glaze, warm cream cheese in microwave safe bowl for 20-30 seconds to soften
- Mix in milk and powdered sugar and stir so there are no clumps
- Plate waffles and drizzle the glaze on top and maple syrup if desired
