What is it about a snack box that gets us all excited?! Whether you’re an adult or a kid, snack boxes for meals are so damn good. Everyone seems to love the Starbucks Protein Boxes. And sure, it is convenient to grab one when you’re traveling or out and about. But it’s also really easy to make these at home too using your own ingredients.

These Starbucks Protein Boxes are great for a breakfast or lunch. And they can easily be prepped the morning of or make a few at a time and store them in the fridge.

I use the Starbuck’s boxes as inspiration for what I add to mine but also use whatever I have on hand or am craving. The salty and sweet flavor combos here is just what I crave during the day. I love that you can also bring these homemade ones on the go. Pack them for work, school or a travel day.

These also take 5 minutes to actually put together. The only part that is time consuming is to hard-boil the eggs, which takes minimal effort if you use my oven method.

I hope you find some inspo in these protein boxes and try them at home. I like to make 3-4 of them at a time so I have them to snack on throughout the week. I find they stay good for about 5 days in the fridge.

What ingredients you need to make protein boxes:

  • Eggs hardboiled – I don’t cut these ahead of time. Just peel because the eggs dry out if you cut them too early.
  • Grapes – washed and ready-to-eat. I like to use green grapes but any grapes work. Or use another berry!
  • Crackers of choice – love the salty crunch. You can also use a pita bread or pretzel too. Some time of carb!
  • Chocolate covered pretzels – or any chocolatey snack like chocolate almonds or some type of sweet something.
  • Cheese cubes – or use string cheese if you want. I used cheddar cheese cut into cubes.
  • Meat sticks – code RACHL for 15% off. I love these ones!

How to make DIY Starbucks Protein Boxes:

  1. Assemble protein boxes per your liking in container of choice
  2. Store in fridge for up to 5 days

FAQs and tips on making these Starbucks Protein Boxes:

  • How long do these protein boxes last in the fridge? 5 days! I usually prep a few at at a time. But if you want to do more or less, go for it. They last 5 days in the fridge.
  • What containers do you use? I love using these divider containers. They’re glass and can be dish-washed too.
  • Don’t slice the eggs in half or they will dry out. Peel and leave in whole form until ready to eat.
  • Feel free to sub in anything you want. Add in some carrots, apple slices, some dips, anything! This is usually what I have on hand and I love this combo. But I do love adding some peanut butter and apples too.
