The Best Healthy Buffalo Chicken Dip made with all Whole30-friendly ingredients. A quick and easy appetizer to make for any occasion and it is gluten-free, dairy-free and truly so delicious.
Just because I could care less about anything to do with football and Sunday sports or whatever – doesn’t mean I am missing out on any delicious eats over here.
This is one of those crowd pleaser recipes that is great to snack on for any occasion. Plus it is so easy to make and takes only 20 minutes to whip up. It is a much healthier version of the buffalo dip you are used to ordering out to dinner or for an occasion. It is paleo, whole30 and made with just a few simple ingredients.
I was nervous for Jordan to try this when I made it. That guy is obsessed with all things buffalo chicken and classic game day food. And he was so into it. Not one tweak or change, which I was absolutely shocked.
You’ll see below that this recipe is a bit on the smaller side but you can totally double it and make a large dish too for a bigger crowd. These days who knows if everyone is solo or with a group with being home during this crazy time. But feel free to tweak quantities to fit the number of people you are with!

What ingredients you need to whip this paleo buffalo chicken dip up:
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (I used a rotisserie chicken!)
- Mild or hot buffalo sauce – either works! You can also add more or less based off spice tolerance
- Mayonnaise – any works! Use a paleo one if needed for Whole30
- Ranch dressing – this is my secret weapon here. Adds the best flavor!
- Nutritional yeast – same here. Adds that cheesy flavor without cheese
- Green onions – chop the green part of the scallions
- Onion powder garlic powder and sea salt and black pepper
How to make the best Whole30 buffalo chicken dip:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees and grease a small skillet or 6 inch baking dish
- Place all of the ingredients in a large bowl and mix well
- Transfer to the skillet and bake in oven for 18-20 minutes then broil for 1-2 minutes when the top is bubbling
- Serve with veggies and your favorite tortilla chips
