I have another pasta recipe that you guys must try. A BROCCOLI PESTO pasta!

And I know what you are thinking..that sounds so random and kind of out of no where. But I can promise you that this pesto is absolutely delicious and even those who don’t like broccoli, will love this recipe. Myself included because broccoli isn’t my think, yet whenever I make this I am obsessed.

I cannot wait to hear what you think of this!! Don’t forget to tag me on Instagram and Tiktok if you try it.

What ingredients you need to make broccoli pesto pasta:

  • Cooked gluten-free pasta – you can use any pasta you’d like. And if you don’t need gluten-free pasta, use anything you prefer
  • Broccoli florets – I don’t recommend this raw as it’s easier to digest if the broccoli is cooked
  • Basil leaves – love the flavor this adds to the pesto! Makes it taste like actual pesto
  • Garlic cloves – just a couple fresh garlic cloves is perfect here
  • Pumpkin seeds – I use these seeds instead of nuts but you could really use another seed or nut if you prefer
  • Extra virgin olive oil – or use avocado oil if you prefer but I love olive oil in this the most
  • Parmigiano-Reggiano – freshly grated parmesan in this recipe is so key!

How to make broccoli pesto pasta:

  1. Add the broccoli, basil, garlic, pumpkin seeds, oil, water, salt and pepper and cheese to a food processor or blender and blend until smooth and fully combined
  2. Pour the broccoli pesto on top of pasta and mix well and enjoy!

FAQs about broccoli pesto:

  • What goes well with broccoli pesto pasta? I like adding some chicken in this or some meatballs! Either are great addition or you can enjoy as is.
  • How long does this pesto last? It stays well for 5 days in the fridge. Or you can freeze for up to 2 months in ice cube trays.
  • What else can you use this broccoli pesto for? It is great on flatbreads and pizzas or as a dip with veggies and crackers.
