If you are looking for an easy meal to make for your kids that won’t make a mess and take up time to make – look no further than this creamy pasta with broccoli! Not to mention it is a healthy meal that can get your kids to eat broccoli, not complain about their dinner and you can eat it with them too!

This creamy broccoli pasta is one your kids will crave over and over again. It is on my weekly rotation of meals for the family. And I love that it only takes 10 minutes to make, uses one pot to cook it all and you can make double if you want to have lots of leftovers too!

What ingredients are in this One Pot Creamy Broccoli Pasta:

  • Gluten-free penne – or any pasta you prefer. I switch up the shape of the noodles using whatever we have on hand!
  • Frozen broccoli florets – these are a staple in my freezer for quick meals like this.
  • Butter – just a little spoonful to make this creamier!
  • Shredded cheese – cheddar cheese works great or you can parmesan cheese. Or you can even do a mix of sorts!

How to make 10-minute broccoli pasta:

  1. Bring a large pot a water to boil and add in the pasta and cook per instructions on box
  2. Add in the broccoli when there are about 4-5 minutes remaining and don’t forget to reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water
  3. Strain pasta and broccoli and add back to pot and add in the butter, water and cheese and mix well
  4. Serve while warm!

FAQs on making creamy broccoli pasta:

  1. Can you add in extra protein to this meal too? Absolutely!! Some chicken, meatballs or sausage would be great. Or you can add in some beans as a vegan/vegetarian option.
  2. What makes this pasta creamy if there’s no cream? The mix of the butter and cheese makes this dish creamy and yummy!
  3. Will my kids who hate broccoli eat this? Both of my babies do not like broccoli and never have. For some reason in this pasta dish, they devour it!!
