This Easy Halloween Candy Bark is such a delicious sweet treat to make. You only need 4 ingredients to make it and it’s gluten-free and great for kids or adults.

My Halloween obsession just keeps on getting stronger. Especially when it comes to making recipes like this bark. I love making all different bark recipes as you know and this one is great for Halloween time.

This Halloween Bark recipe is just about the easiest Halloween treat you could ever make (like my 3-ingredient Ghost Pretzels) and it’s a sweet alternative to another dessert recipe for a Halloween gathering or get together.

You can really use any chocolate you want for this and it only requires a few steps of melting the chocolate, adding to baking sheet and putting the toppings on top before you allow it to set for a bit.

For this bark, I like to map out all my ingredients first so they are easy to add on top. Making bark can be messy (melted chocolate usually is) so it’s helpful to have everything laid out for you.

Feel free to add in any other toppings you want to when you make this bark. I cannot wait to hear what you think of this recipe.

What ingredients are in Halloween Bark:

  • Dark chocolate chips – or you can use milk chocolate if you want!
  • White chocolate chips – use your go-to! This is the “white” part of the bark
  • Candy corn – okay full disclosure – I do not love candy corn and I never have. But it’s needed on Halloween things like this! I just pick it off but if you don’t love it then omit it.
  • Gluten-free Oreos – or any chocolate cookie sandwich of sorts
  • Candy eyes – for the “monster” look on the bark!

How to make delicious Halloween Bark:

  1. Line a medium/large baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil leaving overhang on at least two sides
  2. Add the chocolate chips (and coconut oil if needed) to a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute, stir with a spoon. And continue to warm in 30 second increments until melted
  3. Spread the melted chocolate across the prepared baking sheet and use a rubber or offset spatula to smooth into an even layer
  4. Melt the white chocolate chips in a separate bowl for 1 minute. Stir with a spoon until smooth. If it needs more time, repeat microwaving the chocolate in 15-second increments, followed by stirring, until smooth
  5. Drizzle the white chocolate diagonally across the baking sheet of melted dark chocolate
  6. Then, drag a toothpick across the white chocolate in an opposite diagonal
  7. Place the candy corn pieces evenly across the sheet of chocolate
  8. Split the cookie sandwiches in half so that one side is bare and one has the cream filling
  9. Use the some of the frosting on the cookie to get the eyes to stick on the cookie halves. Or use melted chocolate to create a small circle on the back of the candy eyes
  10. Add cookies on top of the bark then place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for one hour to harden
  11. Once hard, use a knife or your hands to break the slab of chocolate into pieces of bark and enjoy!

FAQs and tips on making Halloween Candy Bark:

  • Work quickly to add chocolate to baking sheet! The chocolate is easiest to spread while still warm. Pour onto lined baking sheet then to avoid your chocolate getting clumpy.
  • Is this Halloween bark sweet? It is! I do love adding some sea salt on top if you want to balance it out a bit too.
  • Where do you store the bark? In the fridge for about a week or the freezer for 2 months. Although, it doesn’t last too long in our house.
  • Use a spatula to evenly spread the chocolate across the sheet pan or a spoon
  • Use your favorite chocolate! I love doing dark chocolate or semi-sweet but really anything can work.
  • How do you melt your chocolate? In the microwave in 30 second increments or until melted. Just make sure to stir every 30 seconds or so.
